“We were looking for a gas station. All of a sudden ‘Lover, Lover’ came on and we got so excited we cranked it up and we had the windows rolled down. It was one of those really surreal, cool moments and then we just forgot about the gas completely.”
“I think when you turn on the radio that’s when you should forget the bad news and hear the good news,” he said. “I always try to put an album together that’s hopefully more fun than sad and boring.”
“It seems there’s bad news any time you turn on the TV, so I always say when I want to hear good news I turn on country radio,” Niemann said. “So I tried to make an album that reflects that.”
Headlined by Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban, the two-day event takes place in Las Vegas the weekend of the 49th ACM Awards.
