Brett Eldredge is a man of his word. When “Beat of the Music” was rising on the country charts he made a bet with his team that if the song went to No. 1 he’d go swimming with sharks. And that’s exactly what he did.
“I started playing ‘Mean To Me’ out at shows and girls just go crazy for it. I literally had somebody get engaged at one of my shows to that song,” he said of his new single, “Mean To Me.” “I hope I can sing that one for a long, long time.”
“I want my heart to be pounding and feeling like I’m about to be a snack but not really be one. And then I’m going to get out and have a few drinks afterwards because I might be a little scared. “
He won’t have sharks in the cage, he clarified, but they’ll likely be swimming around him.
