If artists were threatening to move to Canada should Donald Trump win the 2016 presidential election, Ty Dolla $ign appears to have gone one step further and “fled” to Switzerland. The rapper chills in the country’s luscious woods and along its picturesque coast in his latest visual “$.”
In the video, Ty relaxes in Switzerland and lives the stacked life complete with fat blunts and seriously impressive views. “$, you know you the s—,” he raps throughout the track, and backs up those words by chilling with scantily dressed ladies and unwinding on a large boat. Just another day in the rap life.
The video for “$” follows the 2020 presidential “bid” he shot with Future for their collaboration “Campaign.” He released that video the day of the election, November 8th. Coming as they did before and after Trump’s election, the two visual messages differ dramatically from one another, and though Ty hasn’t actually fled to Switzerland, it seems he enjoyed his vacation while making the video. Now it’s back to reality.
“$” appears on Dolla’s Campaign mixtape.
