A tearful Miley Cyrus posted a two-minute long video on Twitter today, addressing the 2016 presidential election.

Cyrus, who had been a vocal supporter of Bernie Sanders and then Hillary Clinton, spoke directly to Donald Trump, accepting him as president.
“And so Donald Trump, I accept you, and this hurts to say, I even accept you as a president of the United States,” Cyrus said, wiping away tears. “And that’s fine, that’s fine because I think now I want to be a hopeful hippie, and I want to be hopeful that you will step in too.”
Cyrus added in a message that seemed aimed at Trump but could apply to others as well, “Please just treat people with love and treat people with compassion and treat people with respect. And I will do the same for you.”
In addition to providing her own concession about the results, Cyrus also thanked Hillary Clinton for inspiring her, and Barack Obama for his service. Watch the full video below below.
