Chance the Rapper Leads Voting Parade in Chicago

Thousands of fans followed Chance to the polling location.

Following his free concert at the Petrillo Music Shell in Chicago’s Grant Park on Monday afternoon (Nov. 7), Chance the Rapper kicked off a parade through rush hour traffic to a voting site in Illinois.

A line of voters waiting to cast their ballots in the 2016 Presidential Election wrapped around a city block. Thousands of fans followed Chance as the rapper headed to the polling location. Those who were in line by 7 p.m. local time were allowed to vote.

“This election is very important, a chance for new leaders and new opportunities to emerge,” Chance previously said in a press release about the event.
