Bobby Brown, BLACKstreet, Guy and Total will be performing on the Orleans Arena stage when the 2016 Soul Train Awards tapes in Las Vegas on November 6, reports to Billboard.
Doug E. Fresh, Wreckx-N-Effect and Carl Thomas also join a talent lineup that includes rising newcomers Yuna, Candice Boyd and Major.
Cast members from the forthcoming biopic, The New Edition Story, Bryshere Y. Gray, Elijah Kelley and Keith Powers, will be presenters at the awards ceremony. Other presenters include Jill Scott, India.Arie and Eric Benét.
This year’s special honorees are Grammy winners Teddy Riley (Legend Award) and Brandy (Lady of Soul Award). Erykah Badu will return to host this year’s event.
Drake leads this year’s nominations pack, with 12, while Beyoncé is in line with eight nods. Additional multiple nominees include Chance the Rapper, Anderson .Paak and Bryson Tiller.
The awards show is the culmination of the Soul Train Weekend, which kicks off at the neighboring Mandalay Bay. The weekend will include concerts featuring Scott, Monica, Anthony Hamilton, Tyrese, Jazmine Sullivan and Bell Biv DeVoe plus a comedy set starring Cedric “The Entertainer” and D.L. Hughley, among others.
The 2016 Soul Train Awards will air on November 27.
