The exhibition includes work from some of the 20th century’s most influential artists, and ranges from pop art to German expressionism to British modernism. A Frank Auerbach painting that was said to be Bowie’s favorite, affecting how he felt in the morning, will be among the works on display.

The iconic rocker once said he if there was anything he was an “addictive, obsessive” collector of, it was art.
