The Who’s Roger Daltrey Says Rock is Dead

"The only people saying things that matter are the rappers and most pop is meaningless and forgettable."

Mark it down, a member of The Who says rock has “reached at dead end.”

Roger Daltrey sat down with The Times of London for an interview at the Desert Trip festival earlier this month, and stoically said that the only singers who have anything to say nowadays are hip hop artists.

“The sadness for me is that rock has reached a dead end. The only people saying things that matter are the rappers and most pop is meaningless and forgettable,” Daltrey told The Times. “You watch these people and you can’t remember a bloody thing.”
