Eminem Drops ‘Campaign Speech’ Freestyle

By Amanda Wicks

Don’t worry, Eminem fans, there’s new music coming. He shared on Twitter today (Oct. 19) that he was indeed working on some new rhymes. “Don’t worry I’m working on an album!” he wrote. “Here’s something meanwhile.”

True to his word, in addition to the announcement, Eminem shared a nearly eight-minute freestyle called “Campaign Speech.” The rage-filled song reminds rappers about his skill. He even calls himself “Chuck Norris with a thesaurus” at one point.

Elsewhere on the track, Eminem gets political, invoking the names of George Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin, Colin Kaepernick, among others.

Eminem last released an album in 2013 with The Marshall Mathers LP 2. In September, he appeared in Skylar Grey’s new song “Kill For You,” which will be part of her upcoming fourth studio album.
