Corden and Colbert Commemorate the End of #Hiddleswift

We're not finished laughing about the year's great love story.

The end of #Hiddleswift has inspired the funny, skeptical, overwrought reactions you’d expect in the age of Twitter, but late night talk show hosts got in on the post-mortems, too. CBS hosts Stephen Colbert and James Corden each paid their respects to the defunct celebrity union of Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston, whose press-heavy summer relationship came to an end this week.

Colbert performed a wistful guitar number called “Taylor Tom and Me (Goodbye Hiddleswift).”

“Taylor Tom and Me, we were a happy couple of three/ But now they’ve said goodbye, and I just want to cry,” he sang. “How could you do this to me/ Think of all our memories/ Like kissing on that rock/ or climbing on that rock.”

Meanwhile, Corden worked the breakup into his monologue, insisting that Taylor’s band would go straight to the studio. Here are the highlights:
