Black Sabbath are preparing for their final tour, which culminates in Birmingham in February.

But, sadly, even though it will be the band’s last jaunt, it won’t involve a full-fledged reunion happening. Founding member and original drummer Bill Ward left Black Sabbath in 2012 and things have remained tense between he and Osbourne ever since. Still, Osbourne admitted to Rolling Stone that he was disappointed Ward wasn’t going to be part of the final tour. “I’m sad that Bill never came through,” he said.

It sounds as though there’s still bad blood. “I don’t know. Every time I reach out to Bill I get yelled at for something.” When asked if Ward might play the final gigs Ozzy is vauge. “If something can be worked out, great. Tommy [Clufetos, Black Sabbath’s touring drummer] is doing a great job,” he said.

As for this last string of shows, Osbourne said it will definitely be the final run. “We’re definitely finishing in Birmingham. We’re not going to re-form after five years and say, ‘Because of public demand  …’ Black Sabbath has been up and down and ’round the mulberry bush so many times. It’s good to end it on an up note,” he said.

It sounds as though Osbourne has other, more personal matters to concentrate on. His wife Sharon recently shared that he would be entering treatment for sex addiction following the tour.
