Even though Paramore has undergone several significant changes since the band released its first album All We Know is Falling in 2005, that hasn’t stopped original members Hayley Williams and Taylor York from moving forward.
After concluding their Parahoy! cruise in early March, the two have been sharing photos of their time working on a new album. On May 5, lead singer Williams tweeted a photo showing an array of guitars and effects pedals with the caption “Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.”
There’s no word yet about a timeline, but once completed the new album will mark Paramore’s fifth studio album and first since bassist Jeremy Davis announced he was leaving. Williams and guitarist York will be moving forward was a two-some, which could mean a shift in the band’s overall sound, but that wouldn’t be anything new for Paramore. The band’s sound has evolved over the years, especially once original members Josh and Zac Farro left in 2010.
For now, Paramore fans eagerly await new music and inevitably a new direction.
