Kristina Bazan of Kayture.com is one of the world’s most influential fashion bloggers. This week she joined The Style Scout, Alia Ahmed-Yahia, for an exclusive interview at CBS studios to help us bring a fresh perspective to styling our spring looks.
Here are four easy formulas from Kristina to inspire a refresh of your spring wardrobe, from neutrals to negative-space manicures to where to stick a pop of color.
1) The New Way To Wear Brights & Neutrals: Head to Toe
#ScoutStyleSecret: Your look doesn’t end after you’ve chosen a top, skirt and shoe. Make-up can play a big role in completing the look you’re trying to create. A new way to try this combination is pairing a bright lip with a blush-toned dress.

2) Mastering the All White Look
Pair two opposite white textures together. #ScoutStyleSecret: Many people choose crisp classics when wearing all white. However flat fabrics like cotton can easily say “hospital work uniform” instead of sophisticated look. Look for two textural pieces to pair together in white (think lacey top and pique skirt). Finish this trending spring look with a pop color shoe or bag to keep the look modern.

3) Styling Colored Statement Jewelry
Choose another bold piece in the look that picks up the color from the jewelry. #ScoutStyleSecret: play off the color in your gems by styling another bold piece in your look (i.e. jacket or pant) in the exact same color.

4) Playing a Cool Hand
Experiment with a negative-space manicure and horizontal ring stack. #ScoutStyleSecret: the negative-space manicure, where some of each nail is left bare, emerged on the spring runways as a huge nail trend this season. Pair your (half) manicure with a horizontal stack, which is rings stacked on consecutive fingers, in different and interesting shapes for a look that’s unique to you.
