Eminem & Sia Get Gutsy in New Lyric Video For ‘Guts Over Fear’: Watch

By Shannon Carlin

With the release of his new lyric video for “Guts Over Fear,” Eminem is making it easy for his fans to learn every word to his new duet with Sia.

On the track, Eminem gets real about his past, rapping, “Ever since I came along / From the day the song called ‘Hi, My Name Is’ dropped / Started thinking my name was fault / Cause any time things went wrong / I was the one they would blame it on.”

This is Eminem’s second duet with Sia, their first being The Marshall Mathers LP 2 track, “Beautiful Pain,” which unfortunately caused a bit of pain for Sia.

Her fans were none to happy to see her working with Eminem, who frequently uses homophobic slurs in his music. Sia eventually donated the profits from that collaboration to the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.

Em’s latest track will be on his new double album Shady XV, which will be released on November 24 and will also include a collection of the label’s greatest hits from 50 Cent, D-12, Obie Trice and, of course, label head Eminem.

While “Guts Over Fear” is pretty impressive, it’s Em’s song “Rap God” that earned him the Guinness World Record for the “most words in a hit single.” That track has him spitting 1,560 words in just six minutes and four seconds.
