Let’s get one thing straight: There is nothing remotely religious about Ty Dolla $ign‘s “Lord Knows.”
“Last week I f**ked five b***hes, don’t remember one name / She want to know more I want one thing,” the rapper starts off the track. “Had her drinking and smoking on the tour bus/ Last year I remember they ignored us/ She used to f**k with A$AP/ Too $hort said he know the b***h from way back/ These groupie hoes ain’t got no morals/ Where that p***y goes only lord knows”
And if you’re going to complain about groupies, who better to bring in than Miami don Rick Ross?
The Boss shows up near the end of the trap beat with a verse about hooking up with chicks and taking care of his crew (Rick Ross seems like a good multitasker.) There’s also a line about his not-so-secret career as a ghostwriter — “What’s real? Ghostwrite another book deal” — for which Ross has written for Trina and Puff Daddy.
Dom Kennedy also assists on the track, which will supposedly appear as a remix on Ty Dolla $ign’s Sign Language mixtape when it drops Aug. 25.
