Another day, another slice of candy-coated mainstream pop madness from Horst Simco, better known as RiFF RAFF, Jody Highroller, and god knows what else.
Yesterday the Houston MC jumped on Katy Perry‘s “This Is How We Do” and anointed himself “rap game Ted Koppel in Versace boxers.” Today he’s gifted Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” with a verse that details, among many, many other things, the bejeweled contents of his forearms: “My left hand was an avalanche, my right hand? Uh/ Eight grams and a traffic jam.”
RiFF sounds at home over the song’s trunk-rattling bass, and he also takes the time to address the song’s prevailing lyrical theme: butts — “Ass cheeks like two volleyballs/neon spandex turning heads in the damn mall.”
RiFF RAFF’s verse comes courtesy of the L.A. Leakers crew. You can catch more freestyles and never-before-heard songs on their upcoming Leaks of the Industry ’14, which comes out Sept. 8.
