ScHoolboy Q Redoes ‘Man Of The Year’ Video With Fan Footage: Watch

By Ezra Marcus

What does it mean to be a man of the people?

ScHoolboy Q thinks he has the answer: you respect the people’s social media.

The rapper has re-shot  the video for his world-conquering single “Man Of The Year” using footage he and FootAction garnered from fan Vines and Instagram videos.

It’s a dramatic change of pace from the song’s first visual, which found Q on a tropical beach, soaking up the sun with only squadron of ladies as companions. Now he’s in New York City, on the Astroturf-lined roof of the Standard Hotel, living it up with a rowdy crew.

The footage is interspersed with vines and Instagrams. Q’s fanbase clearly loves to dance, using the towering “Man Of The Year” as a jumping off point.

Flips, shoulder rolls, moody poses in sewer grates—nothing is off the table for the devoted fanbase.

If ScHoolboy wants to run for office, now might be the time.
