If there’s one thing everyone can agree on about Chief Keef, it’s that he’s consistent.
When the young Chicago lightning rod drops a video you know what to expect: a bunch of dudes, a bunch of guns, a bunch of blunts, a bunch of sick Glo Gang clothes you wish you owned and a healthy serving of Louis Vuitton luggage.
You can also expect with certainty that Keef will Auto-Tune his voice into oblivion as he provides a braggadocious illustration of life on the wild side.
“Fool Ya” finds Keef particularly energized: he’s really snarling through the Auto-Tuned haze. The way he enunciates certain words —ravioli, for example — is something to behold. The beat is more melodic than some of his work: more “How It Go” than “I Don’t Like.”
Keef’s far from soft, though, if threats to “shoot at your stomach and shoot at your medulla” are any indication.
Look for Bang 3 sometime this year.
