A year ago Rich The Kid was just another name you might scroll past on Datpiff.
Now that’s not so likely; he’s part of the wave of Atlanta artists who’ve taken the rap game by storm.
“Famous (Remix)” is a strong example of why. It’s a suitably triumphant ode to newfound fame, with production that sounds sort of like how gold chains sparkle, in a synaesthetic type of way.
“Famous(Remix)” features fellow Atlanta trio Migos and Mad Decent weirdo RiFF RAFF. The latter has an especially strong showing: “playing hackey-sack in the valet parking at Hakkasan” is an undeniable image of celebrity run amok.
Migos also acquit themselves well with their trademark triple-time flow.
