Lynyrd Skynyrd have been around not only long enough to tragically lose members in a plane crash, but also accumulate a host of famous friends that they’ve worked with or consorted with over the years.
This fall, the legendary band will be honored with a full night of music at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre titled “One More For The Fans! – Celebrating The Songs & Music of Lynyrd Skynyrd” on Nov. 12, Billboard reports.
Among the featured guests (breathes): Trace Adkins, Alabama, Gregg Allman, Charlie Daniels, Peter Frampton, Warren Haynes, John Hiatt, Jason Isbell, Jamey Johnson, Aaron Lewis, moe., Govt Mule, Robert Randolph, Blackberry Smoke, Cheap Trick and Donnie Van Zant.
That’s a lot of friends!
The history of the band and the Fox dates back to 1976, when the band held a benefit to save the theater from demolition.
Producer Don Was will act as the music director of the event, with Ken Levitan and Ross Schilling as executive producers and Keith Wortman as creator and executive producer.
Tickets for the show will go on sale on Aug. 18 via the Fox Theatre’s website.
