UPDATE (8/10, 12:51 pm EST): Adam Duritz is in fact on Tinder. The 50-year-old frontman confirmed it himself via Instagram, writing, “Seriously? Is there anyone who’s NOT on Tinder? It’s my favorite video game…well, that or Floppy Bird.” Yes, it seems Duritz plays Floppy Bird, the spin-off to the immensely popular Flappy Bird. No word how he feels about Fall Out Boy’s homage to the game.
Even a man who has dated more than half of the women on Friends sometimes needs a little help in the love department.
As Consequence of Sound points out, Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz has a profile on Tinder, a mobile app that uses your location via your phone’s GPS to match you with a potential partner in your vicinity. No word yet if Mr. Jones is there with him.
There’s also no confirmation that it’s actually the Adam Duritz. Though, in a 2012 interview with Mashable, Duritz did say that Twitter had changed his life admitting “I met my last serious girlfriend [actress Emmy Rossum] on Twitter.”
In the 50-year-old frontman’s alleged profile, which makes no mention of his star status, he writes, “NYC. Grew up in Berkeley. I…umm…I cannot think of anything else to say. Except…is this the freakiest game EVER or what?”
If you happen to get a date with the guy who sang “Mr. Jones,” then yes, it definitely is.
