Serial collaborator Pharrell Williams now has a project you can eat – and no, it’s not at Arby’s.
The man who put their hat logo on the map, has teamed up instead with NIGO’s 2-5 Café in Tokyo on his very own burger, RapWave points out.
What exactly goes into a Pharrell burger? A seasoned patty, melted cheese, a thick tomato slice, mustard-based sauce and chopped onions between two gigantic buns.
It’s somewhat surprising that the producer, singer and designer, who’s now known as much for his music as his fashion risks, didn’t go with a bolder combination, but if Pharrell has shown us anything over the past year, it’s that there’s no way to predict his next move.
The restaurant choice isn’t a slight to Arby’s; it’s a personal favor. Pharrell is friends with the owner of the restaurant NIGO.
Pharrell has a long history with burgers. Five years ago when he visited a McDonald’s in Paris’ airport, he starred in what could have been the greatest commercial ever for the fast food chain while giving his order (video via Consequence of Sound).
No word on if there’ll be burger wars between Pharrell and the Black Keys.
