Rascal Flatts have canceled their next three shows, citing Gary LeVox’s recent illness.

The trio was scheduled to play Nampa, Idaho, Airway Heights, Wash., and Mission, British Columbia Aug. 7,8,9, respectively, but the group had to back out at the last minute after lead singer LeVox fell ill and lost his voice.

In a statement, bassist Jay DeMarcus said, “It is incredibly difficult to make the decision to cancel shows and disappoint our loyal fans who have been so good to us over the years.  The schedule of shows this past weekend, coupled with media days in New York City, have left him without a voice. We promise to return as soon as we can and give our fans the best show possible!”

Their management suggests that ticket holders contact their venue for refund information.

Rascal Flatts are planning to resume their tour on Aug. 15 in Phoenix, followed by dates on the West Coast before making their way out East and stopping at Paradise Island in the Bahamas on Aug. 31.
