The Nashville-based singer has been awarded the title “top digital male country artist in history” by the Recording Industry Association of America. Since rising up in country, Aldean has accumulated over 21.5 million RIAA Digital Single Certifications including song downloads and on-demand streams.
“This is such a huge honor, and one that everyone on my team earned together,” Aldean said in a press release. “I love country music, and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else… there was never a Plan B for me. I can’t thank the RIAA or country music fans enough for helping us get to this level… it’s unbelievable!”
He’s only on the upswing too; his latest single “Burnin’ It Down” became the top selling single in the U.S. across all genres upon its release.
Aldean is currently on his Burn It Down tour, which finishes in Dallas on Oct. 25.
