If you thought Knotfest was all you would be getting from Slipknot this year, you were wrong.

The metal moguls have just unveiled their first single in six years, titled “The Negative One.”

No word on when details for an accompanying album will also be released. You can give that song a spin here.

There is one catch to checking out this new song. After listening a first time, you will be required to sign up for their email list to hear it again. Not a huge price to pay for fans, but maybe too much for the casual listener with really big issues about their internet privacy.

A music video for “The Negative One” is expected on Aug. 5. But for the time being, fork over your email address and listen to this metal romp on repeat.

A new album from the band is expected soon.
