Lucy Hale’s ‘Lie a Little Better’ Takes Place at the Grand Ole Opry: Watch

By Annie Reuter

Lucy Hale kicked the idea of a music video concept to the curb for her new video “Lie a Little Better.”

Instead, she spent the day performing on the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville, as cameras and director Philip Andelman captured it all.

The mainly performance video shows Hale and her band rocking the Opry stage and killing time out back racing each other while sitting atop instrument cases.

But that’s not all. How does Hale warmup for her performance? By singing into her hairbrush in her dressing room of course. Watch the video below.

The passionate new single “Lie a Little Better” was written by Mike Daly, Chris DeStefano and Melissa Peirce and showcases Hale’s blend of country, pop and rock with catchy choruses and sing along moments.

“The truth is I’m falling to pieces every time you’re around,” she sings on the Opry stage.

We can’t help but think most country artist’s nerves would fall to pieces given the opportunity to perform on the legendary stage.

Hale’s debut country album Road Between was released on June 3.
