Chance the Rapper Working with J. Cole, Jessie Ware, James Blake, More

Being that Chance the Rapper‘s breakthrough, Acid Rap, was a free mixtape, it is unclear exactly what shape his next offering will be. Logic would point to a major label debut, but Chance also doesn’t seem traditional in many ways.
NME points out the Chicago rap sensation told DJ Semtex on his BBC Radio 1Xtra show that “It’s not about how you release it, it’s about making sure it’s dope content,” in discussing his new music, keeping the details of what he is working on under wraps, but spilling some of the people involved.
“I’m soaking in their energy,” he later said. “These are seasoned, awesome eclectic artists that know a lot that I don’t know. Working with them and getting to see their process is making me a lot better.”
Though seasoned may not be the perfect description for these collaborators, eclectic certainly is, as well as talented and successful.
