The debut this week of the highly anticipated first trailer for the forthcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie nearly broke the Internet—meaning, of course, the parodies had to happen eventually.
Thanks to erotically charged images and a sultry new version of Beyoncé‘s song, “Crazy in Love,” the trailer elicited a wide range of reactions, including the requisite denouncement from a conservative watchdog group.
The melodramatic trailer is also ripe for parody, and New York City comedy troop Awful DJ is leading the way with a comedic remix of the movie clip, turning it all the way up with the well-placed use of DJ Snake and Lil Jon‘s ubiquitous club banger, “Turn Down for What.”
It will be hard to see the original trailer the same way after seeing what Awful DJ did with it. The only complaint is that it leaves the viewer wanting more.
