Panic! At the Disco Counter-Troll, Donate $20 for Every Protesting Westboro Baptist Church Member at Concert

By Annie Reuter

The Westboro Baptist Church may have met their match with Panic! At the Disco.

Days after the church threatened to picket the band’s show yesterday (July 20), the Las Vegas rockers┬árespond on Twitter to the church’s threats and promised to give $20 to a LGBT charity for every member of the church that showed up outside their concert.

Why a LGBT charity? Because last week the Westboro Baptist Church wrote a homophobic parody of the band’s “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” and called it “You Love Sin What a Tragedy,” debuting it on the Internet late last week prior to the concert.

Their main issue with the band is frontman Brendon Urie’s fluid sexuality. In the past, Urie has talked about sexually experimenting and finding other men attractive, telling PrideSource last year that he has experimented in “other realms of homosexuality and bisexuality.”

Panic! At The Disco’s fourth album, Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!, dropped last year.
