Hear Raekwon Freestyle Over Spinners’ ‘Could It Be I’m Falling In Love’

By Marissa G. Muller

It’s Thursday, which means that Raekwon is back with another throwback track as part of his #tbt series.

This week he’s taking on The Spinners‘ 1973 classic “Could It Be I’m Falling in Love.”

The track wastes no time leading up to Raekwon’s freestyle. His verse starts as soon as you hit play and trickles out mid-way through the song, which ends with the sample, pristine and lengthy.

So far the Wu-Tang Clan member has taken on Teena Marie’s “Ooh La La La,” the Isley Brothers’ “Footsteps in the Dark,” Rose Royce’s “Wishing on a Star,” and Horace Brown’s “Trippin.”

Which is to say, while we’re waiting for Raekwon’s new solo album F.I.L.A. (Fly International Luxurious Art), we at least have a growing collection of new hits to tide us over.
