It seems Mary J. Blige wants some of that “La La La” for herself.
The British producer will work with Blige on an album tentatively called The London Sessions, with rumors swirling that a whole host of the best of the U.K.’s neo-soul performers and writers will appear as guests.
No word on who those guests might be, but the mind immediately goes to one guy.
Blige recently appeared in duet with the U.K.’s newest star Sam Smith on his track “Stay With Me.” She reprised the role when Smith played the legendary Apollo Theater in June. Smith was the featured vocalists on Naughty Boy’s summer of 2013 hit “La La La.”
Blige’s last album, My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act 1), in November 2011. A Christmas album, A Mary Christmas, followed last October.
