They say good things come in threes. They also say the same thing about bad things, but for the purpose of talking about a collaboration between Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj, it is safe to say the result will be something to celebrate rather than something to fear.
The trio will team on an upcoming song, MTV reports. The song is “Bang Bang” (possibly a Nancy Sinatra nod, or, less likely, a Dum Dum Girls nod) and it will appear on both Jessie J’s and Ariana Grande’s imminent albums and even sooner as an advance single, due July 29 on Republic Records.
The song features production from three (!) notable producers: Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ilya, all of whom worked on Grande’s killer “Problem.”
Though the single is about a month out, it serves as a reminder that all three of these ladies have whole albums to get excited about.
Grande’s My Everything is set for Aug. 25, though only the deluxe version will have “Bang Bang” on it. (Honestly, if you get the non-deluxe version of an album called My Everything, can you really still call it My Everything?)
Jessie J has yet to announce her album officially, but it is expected in the fall. And, of course, Nicki Minaj’s next album, rumored to be titled The Pink Print, will be out… uh, eventually.
