While the gossip mill churns out more and more (flimsy) evidence of turmoil within the Jay Z and Beyoncé power marriage, the pair continue to tour the country. Together.

Still, the latest evidence of trouble in paradise comes courtesy of a changed lyric during Beyonce’s Cincinnati, Ohio, performance of “Resentment,” which details a woman dealing with her partner’s infidelity, originally recorded by another singer in a high profile marriage, Victoria Beckham.

The changed lyric? Beyoncé switched the years mentioned in the song from “six” to “12,” the amount of time her and Hova have known each other. Of course, they married six years ago, so she could have just kept the line as “Been riding with you for six years” and it would have still been factually accurate with relating to her relationship. Just sayin’.

Of course, this should all be taken with a grain of salt, as she has performed the song for years and it isn’t even her original song, though she did make alterations to the songwriting initially. Furthermore, on the current On the Run Tour, part of the storyline involves Jay Z and Beyoncé acting out a couple’s feud, with a video shown of the pair shooting at each other while a message reads “this is not real.” In that context, Beyonce changing the lyrics could easily be adding to the theatrics on display. After all, why would that be the only “real” element amongst a performance that proclaims itself theater?

Check out the live clip and judge for yourself, but keep in mind how private Jay Z and Beyoncé normally are, and whether a public dig like this is in character, especially during a joint tour.
