5 Things We’d Like to See In Florida Georgia Line’s Clothing Line
By Annie Reuter
“We’re going to start a website,” Hubbard said. “We’re going to start a clothing line, ‘Can’t Afford Not To.’ It’s just become a cool thing, one of those sayings that keeps coming up. So we’ll see what happens with it.”
When we reached out to FGL’s rep for more information, however, things were a lot more vague. “They mentioned this, but it’s really just an idea at the moment!” we were told.
Since it’s just an idea, we figured we’d provide some clothing inspiration for the guys. Here are five things we’d love to see in Florida Georgia Line’s clothing line, if it ever does come cruising into a store near you.
1. Vintage country themed cut-off shirts
The guys have already sported T-shirts from Willie Nelson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Cash and George Strait, so why not make it a permanent habit for fans? In addition to making their own caricatures of the legends, why not throw in some country lifestyle shirts. Vintage moonshine, John Deere tractors and biscuits and gravy on a T-shirt!
2. Leather everything
Tyler Hubbard doesn’t shy away from the leather, whether it be a vest or jacket. So, why not go to extremes? A leather V-neck. A loose-fitting leather wife beater. Leather bracelets. Leather sweaters? Well, maybe not sweaters, though we’re sure they’d keep you very warm in the winter.
Hubbard and Brian Kelley accessorize more than most girls I know. So why not take their accessory obsession to the max. Chains for your wallet or cell phone in every color and style imaginable. Bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings, all with the FGL trademark. And, of course, belts—we bet Tyler already has some ideas for belts drawn up.
We don’t think onesies are how FGL like to roll—it’s pretty hard to actually picture either of the guys wearing one. But, if anyone can pull it off in country music, it would be Florida Georgia Line.
5. Hula skirts
We’re not quite sure if this will work. Then again, if Florida Georgia Line were to make them, we’re pretty sure they would take off. Who doesn’t want to cruise down the highway in a hula skirt?
