Anticipation is building for Brad Paisley‘s upcoming album Moonshine in the Trunk. And to stoke the fires, Paisley appeared last night (June 17) on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform a pair of songs from the album.
For the performance, Paisley chose his current radio single “River Bank” but also offered up the title track, debuting it for the first time on national television. Watch the clip below.
“At certain times, your career should be a party,” Paisley has said about the process for making the album, which is due Aug. 26. “River Bank” already is earning its keep as a fun summer sing-along, and based on the loud-and-proud performance of the new song on Kimmel, “Moonshine in the Trunk” will keep that party raging well into the night.
Paisley also unveiled the Moonshine in the Trunk album cover on Kimmel, and he’s now posted the clip of that reveal on his social media pages.
Paisley has explained that he wrote the album in three months and recorded it with coproducer Luke Wooten. It includes “some of the best songs I’ve ever hooked,” he said.
Paisley is currently on his Country Nation World Tour (see all upcoming dates).
