Upcoming BBC Documentary Reunites Genesis, Peter Gabriel

By Kevin Rutherford

Genesis and Peter Gabriel are getting back together. Well, sort of.

The rock band reunites for a new BBC documentary based on the group’s storied career. Titled, Genesis: Together and Apart, the feature-length film will follow Genesis’ path from the early progressive rock days of the group to their later commercial success, Rolling Stone reports.

The news was confirmed by Gabriel on his website. The documentary reunites Gabriel with his old band; he left the group in 1975.

Genesis: Together and Apart will include rare and never-before-seen footage of the band’s career.

The film does not currently have a release date.

The news is, naturally, stirring up rumors of a full band reunion tour, though nothing’s been confirmed as of yet. The last time all five original members played together was 1982.

Gabriel was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo performer. The full band was inducted in 2010.
