Luke Bryan Says He Thinks About His Next Album ‘Day-In and Day-Out’

By Staff

His double-platinum-selling album Crash My Party has not even been in stores for a year yet, but already country superstar Luke Bryan is spending time planning for that next release. “I think about it day-in and day-out,” Bryan said of his next album, during a recent interview with the Oakland Press.

At the same time, though, Bryan was quick to explain that, while his next album may be on his mind, his main focus right now is his concert tour. And for good reason: Bryan’s live shows have taken a big leap forward this year. For his 2014 That’s My Kind of Night Tour, the “Play It Again” singer is headlining a handful of stadiums for the first time.

“I’m just about growing the live show and touring for years and trying to keep it at a high level for as many years as I can,” Bryan said. “I’m a realist in this whole thing. It’s my day in the sun in so many ways, but somebody else’ll come along and it’ll be their day in the sun. I’ve enjoyed the climb, I’m enjoying where I’m at now and I’ll enjoy when things slow down, too.”

Chances are, that ‘slowing down’ won’t be happening anytime soon. His latest single “Play It Again” just hit No. 1, for instance, and his duet with Florida Georgia Line (“This Is How We Roll”) performed well, too. “Right now the throttle is wide open and it’s all systems go and everything I ever dreamed of,” he admitted.
