Luke Bryan Falls Off Stage in North Carolina While Covering Macklemore

By Annie Reuter

Luke Bryan may be at the top of the charts, but at a performance last night (May 29) in North Carolina he proved that even he can be a little clumsy.

In the middle of covering Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘ hit “Can’t Hold Us,” he fell off the stage — apparently the second time it’s happened in the state.

“Check this out. the last time I was in North Carolina I busted my ass onstage,” he told the crowd at the PNC Music Pavilion. “What is it about North Carolina that makes me bust my ass? Please YouTube that sh**.”

After a few minutes on the ground, Bryan made it back up to the stage and proceeded to joke about it. As he knelt on the stage he started to sing “Crash My Party” but modified the lyrics to make fun of his fall.

“This is a bust your ass kind of night,” he sang. Watch below:

Despite getting a few stitches, Bryan took to Twitter to let fans know he’s doing OK.

Meanwhile, concert promoter Brian O’Connell gave fans a closeup view of the injuries.

This wasn’t even Bryan’s first stage slip of the year. In February while performing in Greensboro, he tripped up the stage, but once again he recovered smoothly.
