Kimye’s Wedding: 22-Year-Old Photographed Ceremony, Lana Del Rey’s Appearance ‘Free’
By Courtney E. Smith
After Kanye West tweeted out the first shots from his Paris wedding to Kim Kardashian, no one would have guessed who the couple’s wedding photographer was. No, it was not a big name like Terry Richards or Annie Leibovitz, but a relatively unknown 22-year-old music photographer named Conor McDonald.
The New York Daily News reports that McDonald, a 22-year-old Brit, got his break shooting the rock group the Subways eight years ago when he was just 14. Since then, he has worked closely with artists including Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and Robbie Williams. His online portfolio includes live shots of Snoop Dogg, Foo Fighters and P!nk, among many others.

On his Instagram account, McDonald also posted the two photos that West tweeted. The photo below, capturing their walk down the aisle as man and wife, includes the caption, “I had the absolute honour and pleasure of shooting Kim Kardashian and Kanye Wests [sic] wedding on Saturday.”
In other Kimye wedding news, Lana Del Rey told TMZ that she was not paid at all to perform her single “Young and Beautiful” at the couple’s wedding. While signing autographs, Del Rey said, “I would never let a friend pay me to sing at a wedding.”
She firmly denied rumors that she was paid $2.8 million for the appearance.
Del Rey’s track was the soundtrack to West’s proposal to Kardashian, as captured on the latter’s reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
