George Michael Hospitalized After Collapsing at Home

By Brian Ives

George Michael was hospitalized last week after collapsing in his North London home, according to various news reports.

The Independent confirmed with the London Ambulance Service that two ambulances were called to his residence at 8 a.m. on Thursday morning (May 22) by “a worried friend”; they left with the singer four hours later, transporting him to a hospital.

The Sun (via The Daily Mail) quoted his agent as saying, “George Michael was in hospital for routine tests but there is nothing further to say.”

This was the latest mishap for the singer, who in the past few years has been arrested for marijuana possession, hospitalized for life-threatening pneumonia and was in a mysterious car crash.

He has, in recent years, gotten back to music, releasing Symphonica in March.

Ironically, his latest single and video is called “Feeling Good.”

Michael and his camp have yet to address the incident on his website or social media channels.
