The new boy bands keep coming out of the woodwork, among them British group Rixton. And now, after finding their first U.S. success with top 20 single “Me and My Broken Heart,” the band is embarking on a summer headlining tour in North America.
Rixton will arrive in late July for the Broken Heart Tour, touring behind their Me and My Broken Heart EP that hit stores earlier this year. The eponymous single from that album has already peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and currently hovers around No. 15 on the Radio.com pop chart.
The tour kicks off July 30 at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, running 12 dates in all before concluding Aug. 23 at Los Angeles’ El Rey.
T. Mills will be the opening act.
In a recent interview with Radio.com, Rixton talked about first hearing “Me and My Broken Heart” on the radio.
“Last night I was listening to the radio in bed and they played Pharrell’s ‘Happy.’ Then they played us,” Charley Bagnall said. “And then they played Beyoncé. We’re between Pharrell and Beyoncé. What the hell’s going on?”
