Life looks pretty good for a superstar DJ.
For anyone who’s ever wondered what it’s like to be Avicii for a day, the Swedish DJ’s latest music video, “Lay Me Down,” offers a glamorous glimpse into his world while he’s on tour.
Opening with shots of the DJ striding into the Tele2 Arena in Johanneshov, Sweden, alongside manager Ash Pournouri, the clip follows Avicii through the venue to the stage, where he presides over the massive crowd from behind the decks. Shots of the “Wake Me Up” producer’s impressive stage show reveals eye-popping pyrotechnics, confetti explosions and a sea of beach balls bouncing throughout the arena.
“Lay Me Down” is the recently released fifth single from Avicii’s wildly successful debut artist album, True. The track features Adam Lambert on vocals and the inimitable guitar work of Nile Rodgers. However, neither are featured in the video.
Avicii is set to be the first-ever EDM headliner of this year’s annual KROQ Weenie Roast in Los Angeles, California (KROQ is a Radio.com station). The all-day festival, scheduled for Saturday, May 31, will also feature appearances from Beck, Fall Out Boy, Capital Cities and more.
