The guys of 5 Seconds of Summer aren’t coming to a theater near you, but they might have you fooled with their new video “Don’t Stop,” which is a trailer for their own fake summer blockbuster.
In the clip, the Aussie foursome becomes a crime-fighting team that not only saves the world, but, more importantly, also saves the lost cats of the world. Yes, the kitties of the world are safe in the hands of this band of masked crusaders.
The video also has the guys – dressed in faux muscle-filled leotards, which we can’t confirm are from American Apparel – taking on ninjas, picking up litter and helping old ladies safely cross the street, whether these ladies want them to or not.
Watch the video, which has been approved for all audiences by “the association that does that sort of thing,” below.
5 Seconds of Summer’s self- titled debut album drops July 22. The band kicks off a North American tour in support of One Direction on Aug. 4 in Carlstadt, New Jersey.
The band made an appearance on the Billboard Music Awards last night (May 18), rocking out to “Looks So Perfect” after an introduction that included a quick video segment kinda-sorta comparing the Australians’ arrival in America to that of the Beatles 50 years ago, plus a botched intro from Kendall Jenner that saw her almost refer to the quartet as One Direction.
