“Love Never Felt So Good,” The first single from Michael Jackson‘s recently released posthumous album, Xscape, has been remixed for the dance floor by DJ/producer Fedde Le Grand, with the new version being officially released today (May 19) via dance music retailer Beatport.
With so much interest and curiosity and interest swirling around the album, most critical and listener response has gravitated towards the “Love Never Felt So Good” as the finest moment on Xscape, which is currently battling with the Black Keys‘ latest full-length, Turn Blue, for the No. 1 position on this week’s Billboard 200.
Le Grand is respectful of the original version’s arrangement with his remix, adding big room beats and high-pitched synthesizers to the track, emphasizing the strings and disco elements of the tune.
“Being asked to remix this single has been the most honorable and at the same time scary and exciting thing that’s ever happened to me,” explained Le Grand in a press release . “For me the most amazing thing would be if via this remix I can contribute – if only a little bit – in bridging the gap between the 1980’s and 2014. There is so much really good music from the past that would still have its relevance today and Michael just simply is the King of all stuff that was ever out there.”
The official music video for the single was just released last week (May 14).
