Style Files: Rita Ora’s Fashion Philosophy

On shoe-wear: "A woman's foot is very petite and attractive. You have to accentuate that."

By Courtney E. Smith

If Rita Ora’s style evolution over the last two years has taught us anything, it is that she is fearless when it comes to fashion. In fact, we learn that there is only one thing you won’t find her wearing: ballet slippers, or as she calls them, ballet pumps.

“To me, I think [they] don’t form your foot into anything sexual. A woman’s foot is very petite and attractive. You have to accentuate that.”

Radio.com sat down with Ora to talk about her views on everything in the world of fashion, including her love of over-the-top designers and the costumes they create, what makes her feel sexy, the magic of vintage shopping and the intersection of music and fashion. For Ora, wearable art is another tool in her toolbox — and one that she wields so very well.

Also catch the video for Rita Ora’s song “I Will Never Let You Down,” produced by Calvin Harris. Ora’s second studio album, just titled O, is slated to arrive this summer.
