Coldplay have been very generous about sharing their latest album with fans, releasing songs like “Always In My Head,” “Magic” the Bon Iver-sounding “Midnight,” “Oceans” and “Sky Full of Stars,” which features Avicii, in the days before its release.
But now, thanks to iTunes, fan can hear the whole thing a week before its official release.
According to frontman Chris Martin, the 9-track album–their first since 2011’s Mylo Xyloto–is an example of how far they’ve come as a band.
“We’re very, very tight at the moment. I know that I’m the one that is the frontman and the one that’s on the magazines and stuff but with everything we’ve been blessed with, what we constantly come back to is is this relationship,” he said in an interview with the BBC Radio’s Zane Lowe. “Because none of us are prodigies or virtuosos, we’ve seen bands come and go in the time that we’ve been around and we’ve seen the ones that have lost it and we’ve worked really hard to communicate with each other in a way that brings the best out of everybody.”
The guys will also be giving fans a live preview of the album for the TV special, Coldplay: Ghost Stories, airing this Sunday (May 18) at 7 pm EST on NBC.
