Billy Currington‘s legal battles are piling up. Seven months after he pled no contest in an elder abuse charge, the country singer has been sued by the boat captain in the case.

According to the Savannah Morning News, Charles Harvey Ferrelle III has filed charges against Currington claiming that the singer has ridiculed him on his website following their altercation last year. Ferrelle filed a lawsuit on Tuesday (May 6) and seeks damages to be determined by a jury for his injured reputation and exposure to public contempt and ridicule.

Currington was charged with making terroristic threats and abuse of an elder person for an altercation he had on April 15 of last year and plead no contest.

As part of the no contest plea, the State agreed to not prosecute Currington for the charge of terroristic threats. Instead, Currington will face five years of probation, pay a $1,000 fine, promise no contact with the parties involved in the incident, and attend anger management classes.

Currington’s last album, We Are Tonight, was released in September 2013.
