Skrillex, Derek Trucks, Ed Helms Heading 2014 Bonnaroo SuperJam Sets

As it’s wont to do, Bonnaroo will feature multiple extended jam sessions — deemed SuperJams — between many of its artists that combine the familiar with the unfamiliar when it rolls around this summer.
According to a release, the Tennessee festival will include three major jams as part of its festivities in 2014, the biggest deemed a “Skrillex and Friends” session that will also include Big Gigantic, Janelle Monae, Robby Krieger of the Doors, Damian Marley and more.
A final jam, which is bluegrass-flavored, is hosted by Ed Helms and includes Dierks Bentley, Shovels and Rope, The Lone Bellow and more.
“SuperJam shows are about creating moments of surprise when no one knows what will happen next,” producer Paul Peck said in a statement. “The amazing artists that are a part of the SuperJams are taking a big risk by stepping outside their comfort zones and doing something very ambitious in a very high profile performance. And they do it for the same reason we do: creating something special for the entire Bonnaroo community to experience together. We’re all in it together and get to see what happens at the same time.”
The Trucks jam kicks off the trio of shows with a midnight local time set Friday (June 13) of the fest. The Skrillex jam follows Saturday night, again at midnight, while the bluegrass set is one of the festival’s final showcases, starting at 8 p.m.
A full lineup of each jam is below.
