First, Pharrell was telling us to be “Happy,” now he wants us to “Smile.”

The singer’s new one-word track didn’t make the final tracklist of G I R L in the States (the song does serve as a bonus track on the Japanese release of the album), but American fans now have a chance to hear the song in all its toothy glory.

On the nearly 4-minute track, Pharrell sings about his feelings over a twinkly piano and gives us the cavity-inducing line, “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.”

The singer, who seems to never sleep, recently released his new song, “Here” off the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack and announced that he’s working on a book that he wants you to write.

The project, titled Social Book, asks fans to guess the words that Pharrell wrote since as the website explained, “All the words from Pharrell Williams’ book have been erased.” When the book is completed it will be presented under the name Inspiration.
