Official Drake Lint Rollers Handed Out at Toronto Raptors NBA Playoff Game
By Scott T. Sterling
Following the now-infamous incident at Game 2 of the first-round NBA playoff series between the Toronto Raptors and the Brooklyn Nets where Drake was caught taking a lint roller to his pants during the action, the Raptors have responded in the most amazing way possible.
Before tonight’s (April 30) pivotal game 5, the Raptors will be handing out 1200 limited edition Drake/OVO (October’s Very Own, Drake’s record label/brand) lint rollers to diehard fans sitting in the “416 Zone.” See the lint roller in all it’s Drake-saturated glory below.
According to the Toronto Star, the promotion is being sponsored by Bounce, a Proctor & Gamble company that “has come on board as the official lint roller supplier of the Raptors.”
Last fall, Drake was named as the team’s official ambassador, an honor that was not lost on the hardcore supporter of his hometown NBA squad.
“I travel the world performing, and everywhere I go I preach the gospel that is Toronto,” Drake said at a press conference to formally announce his new position with the Raptors at the time. “I love this city with all my heart, and I just want to let you know that I’m extremely excited to finally be a part of a team that I grew up as a…diehard fan of, I’m sure like everybody from this city. I’m excited for the new vision.”
Given the exorbitant prices the free shirts handed out at the first Raptors’ “Drake Night” went for on eBay, only time will tell how much an official OVO/Raptors lint roller will command on the opening market after tonight’s game.
